About two thirds of the way through it starts becoming obvious that the story isn't going to wrap up in this volume. I'm okay with the idea of a multi-volume saga, but in previous series Scalzi at least wrapped up the story in each book, and then the next book is more of a sequel. In this case the book just ends pretty much right in the middle of the action. It's almost as if he wrote an entire story and them his publisher decided to chop it in half to make more money. I loved the writing, the characters and the story but am not a fan of the "cliff hanger" ending.

I feel ripped off. This book is half a story. Maybe less. The “Collapsing Empire” is very much un-collapsed at the end of this book. Unlike the Old Man’s series in which each book is a self-contained story, The Collapsing Empire is clearly the first book in a series yet to come. It is the Introduction. It should have come with a subtitle: PART 1, or PRELUDEIt is also 99.9% political drama. The empire, trade houses, politicians, all arguing predictably for their self-interest.

John Scalzi is a terrific author. Lately he is selling appetizers at entree prices. This book feels like one third of a story selling for full price.

Completely agree with many of the other posts. I love Scazli's other stories and this one is great too, but it feels like half a book. It's similar to the human division, but at least that story had a narrative conclusion. This one just ends. Like he ran out of time to finish the story and/or reached the word count in his contract. Both of which are true. I think a big issue is the multiple character arcs. We have to be introduced to each one which takes time (each one is great, and they aren't all John perry types). They feel unfinished though, Marce for example seems like he has promise but is rather passive. We don't spend enough time with them to see them develop. He either needs to write longer books or keep the perespective to one character.

I am a great Scalzi fan. His books are humorous, inventive, creative, and I am not the only one who feels this way since he has won many awards. This new book is set in a future universe in which there are none of his usual incredibly creative alien species--but rather only human settlements set in far-flung planets connected only by "the flow" which seems similar to wormholes but in which passage can be interrupted unidirectionally (there is no scientific explanation for this). The flow seems to be changing and so multiple habitats may be cut off from the others, leaving perhaps only one able to survive on its own. Most of the novel revolves around the political machinations involved for control of the collapsing empire, with the central heroine a new "emperox"--a gender neutral term for emperor. I enjoyed this book and will buy the sequel when it emerges. Scalzi has a light, inventive touch. This is not his best work however--I miss the crazy inventiveness of his alien species not present in this book. For those of you who prefer hard science fiction, you should stay away since it is not clear that the science makes sense. There is also no deep or complex character development although the characters are mildly interesting and sympathetic. If you are new to Scalzi, I would suggest that you buy instead his fabulous book "Old man's war". If you are already a Scalzi fan, this book is entertaining and fine, although not as good as many of his other works. It is worth reading however.

Bought the book when Amazon had it on sale over the weekend. I did manage to finish the first chapter, but won't read it or any of the sequels. Gratuitous F-bombs and a pointless sex scene in the first chapter were too much.Plot was starting to set up with the old man dying and daughter not prepared to become ruler, but turned off by the distractions already mentioned.Waste of my time and money. Disappointed Amazon recommended this turkey, but I'd bet they want to promote with sequel coming out soon.

This books starts an epic space opera. Humans have spread out across the universe using a system called The Flow to get around the speed of light. The whole system is run by the Interdependency which is a government featuring an emperox, a parliament, trade guilds, and a church.Cardenia is one of the viewpoint characters. She is going to be the next Emperox despite the fact that she is the product of a liaison between the current Emperox and her mother. She was raised mostly outside the center of imperial politics. When her older half brother dies, she becomes the heir - like it or not. Now her father is dying and she is getting ready for a job she hasn't been trained for.Lady Kiva is another viewpoint character. She is a member of one of the merchant families and is very interested in profit for her family. She is also foul-mouthed and tricky. She meets an old rival on End who manages to totally disrupt her plans. Also on End is Lord Marce whose father has been doing some research on The Flow at the request of the Emperox for more than thirty years. Both Marce and his father are physicists who study The Flow. When they come to an understanding of what is happening to The Flow, Marce has to get to the Emperox to share his findings. But End is experiencing one of its periodic revolutions - this time orchestrated in part by Lord Ghreni Nohamapetan whose family has plans for End - and they don't want Marce's information going anywhere. This was an engaging story. I liked the characters and the political intrigue. The dialog was crisp. The worldbuilding was well done. The story was fast-paced. Being the first book in a series, the big problem - the collapse of The Flow - wasn't resolved. There was resolution to the plot which encompassed the Hohamapetan family's attempt to exploit the situation.I look forward to reading more in this world.

Okay, so when this book was recommended to me, I'll admit I was apprehensive. Huge mistake. I'm a huge reader, and it's hard for me to take longer than 1 week to read a book. So, you can imagine how hard it is to pick a FAVORITE. Not in this case. The notebook is one of my favourite books of all time. You feel transported into this magical world as Noah reads his journal to his dear wife to try to get her to remember him (I won't give any spoilers). As a writer myself, Nicolas Sparks has given me skills and tools I never knew before. All in all, you really should read this book if you are looking for a good romance that keeps you on edge.I would recommend this book for ages 13 and up, for there are some scenes which may not be sutible for younger children. Also, this book was made into an amazing movie. On a side note, if you enjoy this book, continue the story by reading The Wedding, the fabulous sequel to The Notebook.

I watched "Great American Reads" this week and one section was dedicated to this book, which everyone who read it absolutely loved. I knew it was about a woman with Alzheimer's and obviously that intrigued me. I was also looking for another quick read, still recovering from the Kavanaugh debacle. So I ordered it and finished it in one sitting.I don't know what to say about this book. It's a lovely love story--the kind of forever after love that everyone hopes to have, fraught with first love, heartbreak, and reuniting, but tinged with the tragedy of Alzheimer's. My problem is that the Alzheimer's just didn't ring true. I know everyone is different but Allie, who suffers from Alzheimer's after nearly 50 years of marriage, seems not to be able to recognize the love of her life, but accepts him as a new friend and their story is fresh whenever he tells it...but though she does not know his name or who he is, she has lost none of the ability to speak eloquently and that is SO contrary to what I am experiencing with my mother that I just couldn't believe that part of it. The letter she writes to Noah as they are about to enter a senior facility, knowing that her symptoms will inevitably become worse, was so perfect that it could not possibly have been written by someone whose Alzheimer's had progressed to the point of needing to move to a facility.

I wanted to read a romance. And The Notebook, a romantic novella so famous it is an Internet meme for romance and gender politics, was 1.99 on Kindle. There’s a lot to like about The Notebook. It portrays a universe that we don’t actually live in, a faith, a worldview, a set of beliefs—and you can let yourself believe it for a while. It declares that nostalgia, cliche, and life lived as a summary, with a soft lens filter, is the best kind of life.I don’t agree. I think life is actually much, much better than how it is depicted in The Notebook. Life is far more vibrant, with hot sauce and meaningless moments and the prickle of seal whiskers. The Notebook universe only has room for summary, cliche, and edges so rounded they aren’t edges anymore. There are no scenes in the Notebook, just a series of memories.Still, I read the whole thing, and cried at least once. So there you go. If you want to sing and pray in that church, you can. You don’t have to be a believer. It’s available.

I liked the book as much as the movie it gave more vivid details of their story how they found out about Allie’s illness and touched a bit on the children they had. It almost made you want more information like their was a true history behind the characters like they were real life people. I am about to read The Wedding and hope that I find it just as intriguing. Nicholas Sparks is a fantastic writer and I was sad to hear that there will not be anymore screen adaptations of his novels .

In so many ways this is my parents life. My Mom had Alzheimer's Disease and had to be put in a Nursing Home, but my Dad lives with my sister and he went to the Nursing Home every night for the past 11 years. He would spend time with her, feed her ice cream, help to bathe her and get her ready for bed. He would cover her in a quilt and whisper sweet somethings to her, told her he loved her, said goodnight and God Bless you. On November 8th, 2013, she passed away. The day of her Service before they closed the casket, my Dad tucked her in one last time. They both were 90 years old and both never dated anyone but each other. What an inspiration, honourable, devoted and loving parents we have. NICHOLAS SPARKS this book is phenomenal!!! Breathtaking story!

The first half is readable, lovely setting, predictable but satisfying. I had to skim the last half. It was too sappy and about as exciting as a made-for-TV movie. I guess that the reason it was written, for that and to sell lots and lots of books. I guess one is supposed to see it as an ode to a love story and, as that, it works. Just don’t expect originality.

not the best, not the worst Lonely Planet guide. overall rather shallow. authors insist nothing can be done without a guide. most likely a local labor promotion. also assessment of current politics seems rather one-sided, not prudent for a travel guide.

Beyond the meticulous, helpful information, organization, color photographs, I appreciated the sidebars with historical tidbits, unusual tales, surprise findings--all boxed neatly

Our travels to Nicaragua are later in February so I can't say to the accuracy of the book however it is very well written and very imformative and I would most definitely recommend it. I always buy a travel book to educate myself and Lonely Planet never disappoints.

The e-version of this book was really helpful to us as we travelled there. I had it on my phone and pulled it up whenever we needed it.

We travel a lot in less popular countries, like Nicaragua, and when available start with Lonely planet. Best for an objective outline before going online for the commercially driven stuff.

The book was okay but not all that informational. It did not provide detailed information about Little Corn Island. However, it is still a developing country.

I was disappointed in this product. I much prefer to have color inserts.

great book and a good assist to learn the country.. info is current and accurate.

Review

“A powerful and densely detailed account of how digital culture in the 1960s and ’70s shaped our contemporary experiences of technology as a tool for social connection…As Rankin’s analysis shows, racism and misogyny played a part in molding digital culture from its inception.”―The Nation“Obviously inspired by Howard Zinn’s A People’s History of the United States, Joy Lisi Rankin’s book positions itself as a corrective to what she calls ‘Silicon Valley mythology.’”―Marta Figlerowicz, Public Books“Highly recommended… Rankin’s study offers insight into some of the unsung pioneers of personal computing―namely, the teachers and students who were using computers to program poems, build games, exchange messages, and build online communities back in the 1960s to 1970s… A fascinating historical account of early experiments in online learning and edtech.”―Cait Etherington, ElearningInside News“Digital computers were brought to us by their inventors, a story frequently told. The digital revolution, in contrast, was brought to us by computer users, and that story―as vividly narrated by Joy Rankin in A People’s History of Computing in the United States―deserves to be better known.”―George Dyson, author of Turing’s Cathedral: The Origins of the Digital Universe“A fascinating story of personal and social computing long before the advent of personal computers, the internet, and social media. A compelling challenge to the traditional male-dominated narrative of the importance of personal computers and ARPANET in laying the groundwork for today’s digital world.”―Maria Klawe, President of Harvey Mudd College“We’re familiar with the story of an American computing culture created by great men―geniuses and mavericks. Very rarely have we heard about exceptional women who made significant contributions to hardware and software development. A People’s History of Computing in the United States subverts that old story and takes us into the homes, classrooms, and offices of ordinary Americans―girls and boys, women and men―who built an extraordinary, vibrant digital culture long before the arrival of the PC in the 1980s. The girls (and boys) who code today are the successors to the democratic computing culture that once thrived in this country.”―Reshma Saujani, founder of Girls Who Code“If you’re interested in computing’s present, then this is one of the books you need to read about its past… Kudos to Joy Rankin on this timely, relevant new release.”―Marie Hicks, author of Programmed Inequality

I really enjoyed this book for the way it talked about how users--not just inventors, corporations, or the Silicon Valley elite--played a really important role in making computing what it is today. Especially in terms of the internet. The history of networked systems didn't start and end with arpanet and this book shows how a lot of ignored networks in places that weren't considered high tech hotspots were actually a blueprint for the kinds of social information networks we have today. Lots to think about here. Highly recommend.

I am very interested in the history of computing, particularly in education. This book was extraordinarily well researched, clearly presented, and thought provoking. I loved it.

I had to read this book for class, and it provides a unique perspective on the history of computing. A worthwhile read if this sort of stuff interests you.

Silicon Valley looms large in A People's History of Computing in the United States as it so often does when detailing the birth of the computer revolution. So large, in fact, that Dr. Joy Rankin argues the focus on Apple, Stanford, and Xerox PARC has obscured a vibrant computer culture that expanded out of New Hampshire to blanket the rest of the United States and beyond. In A People's History of Computing in the United States, Dr. Rankin argues convincingly that the interactivity and connectivity generally credited to the home computer and Internet revolutions already existed and even thrived in the 1960s and 1970s through time-sharing services promulgated by both academia and corporate America. To advance this thesis, she traces the origins of the DTSS system at Dartmouth and the BASIC programming language paired with it and follows their influence through other projects such as the People's Computer Company, the Huntington Project, the Minnesota Educational Computing Consortium (MECC), and the PLATO System headquartered at the University of Illinois. Through painstaking and thorough archival research, Rankin reveals the myriad ways in which users of these systems interacted with computer terminals and each other to create full-fledged computing communities that were ultimately hindered rather than helped by the coming of the microcomputer. In doing so, Rankin fills a critical hole in the scholarship. If I have one complaint about this aspect of the work, its that I would have liked more insight as to how Hewlett-Packard and Digital Equipment Corporation entered the time-sharing space and what impact they exerted on these nascent communities.Dr. Rankin is also an expert in gender studies and therefore presents portions of her material specifically through that lens. This has, unfortunately, proved more controversial than it should have due to a series of events that I will not dredge up again here. In light of these events, however, I do feel it is important to examine how the work fairs in this regard. For the most part, Dr. Rankin's gender research is cogent and useful. By examining how institutions like Dartmouth presented the advantages of time-sharing networks to the world, Rankin demonstrates how even individuals that probably considered themselves "progressive" on gender issues in the 1960s were still, either consciously or unconsciously, perpetuating Cold War hetero-normative stereotypes that were ultimately confining and often harmful to women. She is less convincing when she attempts to discern the motives behind the specific words or actions of individuals based on broad trends during the era without any supporting evidence of intent derived from primary sources. This approach runs the risk of stereotyping individual behavior rather than illuminating it.Minor quibbles aside, Dr. Rankin's A People's History of Computing in the United States works well as both an exploration of a previously obscure chapter of computing history and an examination of gender issues that continue to remain sadly relevant in STEM fields to this day. I cannot recommend this book enough.

This book does a great job of showing the other lines of computing history that have been largely missing from the existing narratives, and shows us how the earlier days of networking computing contributed to the arc of digital, networked, and social technology. This is especially interesting as it provides a model where participation in networked computing didn't expect or require personal ownership of the hardware.

I like the content of the book. The artwork is impressive and the story is interesting, although it's also a little difficult to follow at times. With that said, I need to say something about the Kindle version of this book.If you're thinking about buying this book, do yourself a favor and buy a hard copy. The kindle version has many issues that make it difficult to read. One issue is that the feature that lets you double click on a single comic frame to zoom in wasn't done well. There are several pages that were skipped, making it impossible to zoom in unless you're reading it on the iPhone version of the Kindle app. On pages where you can zoom in on specific frames, the text in speech and thought bubbles is cut off, usually at the bottom, so you have to zoom out in order to read the entire bubble. Attached is a screen shot of the problem I'm describing.Maybe Amazon will read my review and correct these issues. It should be possible, and I don't see how I can be the only person to notice them or complain about them. If they do fix these problems, I will happily update my review to reflect that.

As a person who has never read Flash before, my thoughts are as follows.I was confused, at first. But like most of the New 52, they don't start with an origin story. They put you in the middle of their "Super Hero Career" and it takes a few comics to fully understand everything, and as confusing as the Flash can be... they did their best to explain his powers. I didn't mind it, it was actually easier to read than I anticipated.I did enjoy it, and will probably purchase volume two at some point.I don't know how it is to old Flash fans, but as a new Flash reader I enjoyed the book. I enjoyed Captain Cold, I enjoyed Mob Rule, and I'm looking forward to Gorilla Grodd. If you've never read Flash and wanted to start but were afraid of "getting lost" in old story lines or being confused... try this one out! It's the whole point of The New 52, afterall, and I highly suggest you start.

Overall, this was a very fun and entertaining read for me. I've been a fan of The Flash television show which plays on the CW so I was pretty excited to get into some of the source material for where the show's writers get their wacky ideas. I obviously did not have the expectation that this would at all be the same thing as the show, but I definitely wanted it to be just as good.My feelings after reading are certainly a little mixed. On one hand, this was an action packed collection of issues which are lovingly rendered by some immensely gifted artists. On another hand, it's a narrative that isn't quite flat, but also isn't as approachable as DC Comics would lead you to believe. See although this is Volume 1 of this version of the character, it's not necessarily the beginning of the story. The Flash has already established himself as a hero, loved by many, but not trusted by others. All of the characters certainly get a proper introduction, from Barry Allen's (The Flash's) cute police girlfriend, Patty Spivot, to the icy Captain Cold. Despite everything being presented as fresh and new, I definitely got the sense that DC was trying extremely hard not to alienate or bore their current fan base. Some characters, like Patty Spivot, definitely feel like they are worked into the story in a seamless manner, but entrances for characters like Captain Cold are a bit more forced. This largely comes from the fact that some of these characters have history with the Flash by this point - a history that I as a reader am well informed of, but this is a case where they tell me rather than show me that Flash and Cold are old rivals. Now, yes I know who Captain Cold is from the show, but I wanted to get to know him in THIS world and have him (as well as others like Iris West) feel a bit more fleshed out. Ultimately I just felt like I was trying to catch up with the story even though this is technically the beginning. I liked that there wasn't a tedious origin story, but there is definitely a way that they could have introduced things with a bit more grace.I mentioned before that this is an action-packed storyline and I don't throw that term around lightly. The events in this story are much larger than life and the writers waste no time in tossing The Flash into a city-wide catastrophe. At first, it feels rather hectic, but the strong visuals make it all much easier to swallow and as the issues progress, things start to connect in a way that feels way less random. In fact, by the end of this volume, the story glides along at a much smoother pace and I found myself enjoying things a lot more once I had built up a bit more context from earlier issues. There are also some very cool antagonists who I have never heard of before. I'm not sure if they are new to The New 52 or just new to me, but they are pretty great in any case. One shows up at the end, so I won't mention them, but Mob Rule is featured in the majority of the volume and is a very compelling antagonist indeed. I felt like "his" arc was much more gracefully handled than any of the other villains in that his history with The Flash is shown to readers in the form of flashbacks. When everything felt chaotic and confusing, it was this character's development that held my attention through the first half of the issue.By the end of this, I definitely warmed up to The Flash in his New 52 iteration. I wasn't really sold on any of it until much later in the volume, but really do think this holds some promise despite my lower rating. I was even a bit torn in giving it a 3 because by the end I felt like it was more of a 4, but since I did have some trouble with it at the onset and think that things can get a lot better I'm leaving this as sort of a fat 3 (not to be mistaken for a 3.5). One other gripe I had with this had to do with the formatting for the digital edition. There were a bunch of two-page spreads that just look goofy on Kindle (not that I'm a huge fan of them in print either) and not all of the pop-up pannels were particularly well done. There were numerous times where text was cut off or part of the image was cut out and was just a bit of a choppy and unprofessional experience overall. It's not awful, but the publisher CERTAINLY could have put a bit more effort into digitizing this volume. I'm certainly tempted to move onto the next volume which will hopefully continue in the direction that Volume 1 left off in.

Francis Manapul's artwork in his stint with The Flash is amazing. This is what good quality comics should look like. I can't sing enough praise for how beautiful he's made all these panels and how adept he is at conveying a story through pictures. I highly recommend this for the artwork alone.Pair that with Brian Buccellato's writing and this book is a real winner.Admittedly, for The Flash purist this book may be a little hard to take as it is a reinventing of the character, and while many of the classic characters are present their relationships to one another are different. Personally, I don't have any issue with this as I enjoy seeing new writer/artist put their own spin on the mythos of classic characters such as The Flash. When executed well, as it's done here, it keeps the characters fresh and relevant.Incidentally, if you've never read or heard of The Flash before or are new to his comics this is an excellent jumping on point and I would encourage you to pick this up. It won't disappoint.

The Flash is redone. He has been around for five years when the series starts. He is still learning about what he can do and the best way to use his powers. He is even learning about the Speed Force.I have always liked the character. It doesn't really seem like that there are a lot of big changes to the series. More of a difference in approach than anything else. The artwork is good and fairly consistent which is always a plus in a comic book series. The storylines are also fairly interesting. My problem comes is with the flow of the story though. It seems to jump around. I kept feeling like I had skipped a page or missed something. Then I would come upon the explanation after the event. Just seemed to be jumbled at times.

The pictures in this book are fun and full of not only Scripture but positivity. The pictures are perforated which makes removing them a piece a cake! I'm happy with my purchase and say it is a recommendable book.

I own a number of The Coloring Cafe coloring books and I love to color in them. They are cute and easy to color. I can usually finish one easily in an afternoon. “Colorful Blessings” is a newer coloring book in the series. What I absolutely love about this coloring book is that it is spiral bound. I can flip the pages around and get the page I am working on to lie perfectly flat. The designs feature a Bible verse as well as the cite so you can look it up for yourself. I don't see a translation mentioned in the book so I can't say for sure which it is. The designs are open and easy to color. I don't have to finagle small points into even smaller spaces with this book. I can have fun with whatever medium suits my temperament on a given day.For my first project, I choose to use a mixture of Sharpie and Bic Mark-it alcohol-based markers. I was happy that the paper didn't feather the ink outside of the lines and will certainly use my markers with this book again (see medium discussion below.)I will provide details about the book below for those interested, but here is an overview of what I found:45 Bible inspired cute designsDesigns are printed on one side of non-perforated white pageSpiral boundAlcohol-based markers bleed through pageWater-based markers and India ink pens leave shadows of color on back of pageGel pens work well but need a little extra drying timeColoring pencils work well with this paperThe designs in this book are printed on one side of the white non-perforated page. On the reverse side of almost all of them, there is a cute little drawing. If you use a medium that doesn't leak through, you can color that as well. The binding is spiral. The designs do not merge into the binding. You have plenty of room to cut the design out, in fact, there is a cutting line already printed on the page. The design elements are all either finished or the design has a framing line around it. I really appreciate it when I am not left with unfinished dangling elements that I have to try to end properly. I always try to mention when an artist includes this thoughtful feature. It saves me time, trouble, and ink.I test my coloring books with various mediums (which I will list in the comments section below.) Here are the results of my test on this book:Alcohol-based markers bleed right through the page. Water-based markers and Ink ink leave color shadows on the backside of the page (Tombows actually bled through in tiny spots.) Gel pens work really well but require a little extra drying time. Coloring pencils work well. The soft lead pencils go on fairly thick and blend well. The hard lead pencils left dents on the backside of the page.Because of the leak-through, I used and recommend using a blotter page of heavier weight paper or card stock with this book. It will keep the rest of the book in good shape – safe from marring dents and leaking ink.

There's lots to like about this coloring book. First, in terms of the physical book itself, the spiral binding and the paper quality are great. I am using 1mm gel pens, and have had no bleed-through. The spiral binding makes it much easier to manipulate the book, especially if you do your coloring with the book in your lap, as I do. I really like the book's page size, because you can use less ink (less space to fill) and still end up with a very nice picture. I find this artist's style very appealing. The pictures have enough detail to allow for lots of creativity in coloring them, but they aren't so overly intricate that it takes days to complete one. Now, as for the subject of this book, I love it! The messages are simple, but I find myself meditating on them as I'm coloring. It's very soothing, and I'm inspired to turn to my Bible to read more.

This book is a blessing! It is filled with beautiful designs that aren't too detailed or weird. They're uplifting, Bible inspired, and God honoring! The book is spiral bound and the pages can easily be cut out. I like that the pages are 8 x 8. It will be easy to color the pictures, frame them, and put them in a collage along with other 8 1/2 by 11 pictures I have from other books. The paper is a medium weight and a nice texture to color on. Each picture has a tiny design on the back of it that coincides with the picture on the following page. If you choose not to color it, it won't show through to the side you do color if you want to frame it. I'm pleased with this book and would give it as a gift and buy it again!

I was surprised by how much I liked this little book. I have bought several of the more elaborate adult coloring books. Although they are beautiful and artistic, it takes me several days to do one picture. I am not an artist, so by that time, I have probably ruined my picture or become tired of looking at the same page for so long. I have done several of the pages in this book, and each one can be done at night while talking with my husband or watching TV. I also like the Bible verses on each one. The author's choice of which passages to use was excellent. I will buy more.

I don't know where to begin. This is my favorite coloring book ever. As in, in 43 years of walking this earth there is not another coloring book that can compare.I use gel pens. I'm low vision and handicapped and I don't have a ton of hand strength. The pages are thick, and each page is one sided so you don't have to worry about bleed through. The illustration is lovely. It's got a little shabby chic theme, it's got a little Primitive theme, and the pictures themselves are drawn well.If I had any complaint at all, it's that the size of the pages doesn't match any standard photo frame. I definitely will want to frame these. And I so, so so appreciate the Bible quotes she chose.I just love this coloring book.

Love this book, it's so relaxing and nice, great pastime for when you go visit someone :) recommend using gel pens.

I LOVE this coloring book! It has a little bit of everything. Some pages are simple with not a lot on them, others are the more intricate patterns or as I like to call them "busy" pages. I absolutely love that I can meditate on the scripture as I am coloring. And the spiral binding helps it to lay flat while coloring. The pages are a good thickness for colored pencils, if you want to do water colors or markers, they suggest putting a piece of scrap paper in between pages to prevent bleed through. I APPRECIATE that the author gave this suggestion. Wonderful product. I will absolutely look for more like this.
