The recipes are really easy to follow and each one clearly identifies the calories and key nutrients of each recipe. Haugen includes variations and tips so that you don’t feel locked into the recipes if you don’t like an ingredient or just don’t have it on hand.The meals plans are fantastic. Each day gives you recipes or foods that you can eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks and tells you exactly how many calories, carbs, proteins and fats you will be eating. The first night, my girlfriend and I tried the Baked Rigatoni and Cauliflower and, the Watermelon Feta and Mint Salad. They tasted great and was very satisfying. Today we had the Crustless Market Vegetable Quiche – also great – with enough for leftovers for tomorrow. Highly recommended cookbook!

Dieting is always such a difficult task, and a person has tons of books and access to many websites. What I immediately loved about this book was the ease of reading what information you needed to know, and it wasn't hampered down with excessive prologue etc, it got to the grit and basics of what you needed to know about your diet plan and how to use what was going to be given in the book.The meal plan is a life saver and so easy to adjust once you have the basics and habits formed. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to eat light and easy to prepare meals, any day.I would love to see a dairy free cook book from this author!

I admit that I do not exclusively eat a Mediterranean diet, but this cookbook will be my go to for full meals or just sides and salads.

Ever since my dietitian recommended I try the Mediterranean Diet to reduce my A1C and lose some weight, I have been struggling to get started. This cookbook and the meal plans are my life-saver. Not only do the meal plans save me the time planning ahead for what I want to eat but the recipes are easy to make and I can adjust quantities so I have leftovers the next day or so. I no longer have to guess what is and what is not healthy and an acceptable food for my diet. This book takes care of it all.The ingredients in the recipes are readily found in your grocery store or are already in your pantry. The directions are easy to understand and follow, and don’t leave anything to guesswork. The tips that are included with many of the recipes are very helpful.There are many more recipes for vegetables, legumes, meatless dishes and seafood than there are for other foods which is perfect for what anyone following this eating style should be emphasizing. All the calories, carbs, proteins and fat counts are included which makes everything so helpful and laid out right there in front of you. There are also several recipes for Mediterranean breakfast which had found very hard to find – but here they are. The pictures make just about everything look so delicious that I may need to be watching those calories!Overall this book is a great find and something you will find yourself making recipes from this cookbook whether you are following the Mediterranean lifestyle – as Haugen calls it – or are just looking for a healthy, flavorful dish.I received the eBook in exchange for my honest review. BTW the eBook looks just like a regular cookbook would look so the recipes lay out perfectly to read. So, if the hard copy comes out I’d definitely recommend that too!

He is 32, cynical and bitter from a sour marriage that ended in the divorce from hell. She willingly walks away from outrageous wealth and he puts his reputaion and career on the line. They have nothing in common --- but loooove.The story moves fast, the writing is crisp and clear (yes, some of the language is smutty), and the main characters are nicely rounded out. Secondary characters, even ones you never meet (like her parents), are painted in quickly and clearly. The villainess in the tale makes Snidely Whiplash look like a boy scout; it's a shame her comeuppance takes place off screen.There are lots of hints of bad things happening, but the H and h are so happy together that life's slings and arrows just bounce off their hard candy shell. The author successfully tosses in perfect amounts of laughter, possible conflict, and really s*xy heat. She is never aiming for a Pulitzer, but she hits the mark for an entertaing rom-com with a perfect HEA.This is a great book to read when you need spice and a smile. No angst, no conflict, no violence. Just a silly, totally unrealistic, smoking hot tale to brighten your day and make you say, "Awwww, how sweet."Cat

After reading Doctor O-Maker i wanted to read this one see what Jackson and his little dirty story ;D and i am so happy i did!!Lordddd having all these doctors makes you all hawt ;DAda is a young 19 year old who's family wants to know if she can pop out kids.. enter Doctor jackkson brody just saying his name makes me giggle haha ;D but that was a mistake she wasn't suppose to have a hot handsome doctor oh no.. but Jackson is not about to give up...

This is weird. I get how it'll appeal to some, but to me it was a little unnecessarily quick and aggressive (that being said I typically like a slow burn or a hot flash, then a build up again.) Also, the books that were included simply made me uncomfortable. No offense to the author or to people who like them but Jailbait stories don't appeal. I bought it though, and I knew what I was getting into when I bought it but dang was I unprepared for the additional stories.

This book was very steamy and love always win at the end that what happens no matter what they when through they got through it together

Somehow, some way, this insta love was believable. It was short and sweet and perfect. 5 stars without a doubt!

I think this book should be called “The Missing RTL-SDR Manual.” It explained everything I needed to know in order to make my SDR dongle work, and this was especially important because the dongle came with absolutely no instructions. After covering the basics with detailed but simple written directions, screenshots, and a troubleshooting section (which I needed), the book goes into more advanced topics such as receiving digital communications from airplanes, tracking aircraft, displaying live images from NOAA weather satellites, using the Orbitron satellite tracker program, receiving images from the Meteor-M N2 polar orbiting Russian weather satellite, receiving and decoding weather balloon radiosondes, etc., etc. There is an antenna guide, an audio piping guide, a general frequency guide, a section for radio astronomy enthusiasts... The list goes on and on. If there were a Pulitzer Prize for easy-to-understand, useful, and complete instruction manuals covering a wide range of topics for beginners, I think this remarkable book would win it. The author, Carl Laufer, is to be commended for his truly excellent work!—Joe Benson

I have to give the book three stars and myself one for buying it: It is strictly a Hobbyist's Guide. It tells you which software to download from where to receive basically everything that can be received with the RTL-SDR. It even tells you how to install the various (often commercial) pieces of software and where to click to make it all run. If there is more than one choice, it even tells you what - in the author's opinion- is the best choice. If, however, you wanted to LEARN anything about what modulation and encoding techniques are used for the different services that can be received or what signal processing the SDR needs to perform to decode it all, you've come to the wrong place. Grudgingly, I would have given the book even more stars, if it were not for the shoddy editing (I got the print edition with lots of erroneous word repetitions, "that" instead of "than" and other typing errors) and the lack of a keyword index at the end. What mislead me was the mentioning of GNURadio (which uses signal processing building blocks for everything) in the table of contents - it is mentioned as a tool, but not used for anything after that. Was worth the money to anyone who just got a RTL-SDR dongle and wants a single place to to read how to use it rather than search around for the information via search engines. I noted that a lot of people got the dongles for the RTL-SDR purpose and were frustrated in figuring how to use it. This book is for them.

Finally, there is a list of projects to try with your new SDR. If you're getting started, this book will get you well and truly on the way. The only thing lacking is a decent tutorial in installing GNU Radio, which can be a daunting task.Overall, a highly recommended book for anyone looking to explore low cost SDR technology or is looking for a new project to try.

Lots of detailed work put into this book. I have only been 25% through it, but so far it is excellent. I have been in the radio biz for 40 yr and I can honestly say SDR tech is revolutionary to say the least. The geek factor will be high for those without experience, but the only way to get experience is to jump in and get your feet wet. There is much to explore over time in this book.

As someone who didn't have a clue about what RTL-SDR is, this guide works, especially the early sections. They're clear and straightforward. I struggled with the detail in some of the later sections, and missed not having more - in some cases - about why you'd want to use a particular program, what it could accomplish, how it might be interesting. Still, it's worth the money just to have everything in one place.

Very nice book. Easy to understand and informative as well. Good to have a quick jump and start doing stuff. If you are c Moletelt clueless and want something to actually teach you more about the things used or some of the other topics. Then you might wanna buy something else. But, overall this is a rather decent book to enjoy reading and learning from and also doing something practical.

this book offers a lot of information, but incomplete, lack detail, and not well connected.it contain alot of trash that doesnt help writing oo code in java. for example, to specify parent attribute in bean tag to do bean inheritance? lol, are you serious? i want to do inheritance in java, but do i care about morphing the spring configuration file into inheritance crap? how is bring out this topic gonna help me out?also, writing large application (non-web or web) needs partition of code into modules or layers (persistence, transaction, other enterprise services layer). where is topic about partitioning configuration files into multiple configuration files (for web and non-web + persistence, transaction, other enterprise services layer). instead, this book feeds tons of info and errors in examples which make you think mmm, i dont give a frag!!!!there is no coverage on Spring JPA. the coverage on JMS (Spring MDB support and Spring MDP) is incomplete. the coverage on jndi (this is used in persistance, transaction, other enterprise service) is also incomplete.all in all, this book is not so good.

I'm about 1/2 way through my second reading (no small task - this is a big book) and I can't say enough good about it. If you're a J2EE architect without any exposure to IoC/DI, this title will open up a whole new way of thinking about application architecture for you. If you already have Spring experience or are already working with Hibernate, iBatis, JDO, JMS or the other staples of enterprise development, you'll still learn a lot from the book (I had a year of intensive prior experience and I'm gaining a lot from each chapter).

The depth of this book is matched only by it's heft. For a book this big you would expect something with a ton of screenshots and page after page of code, but such is not the case. In fact, this book has better exposition than a lot of APress book's I've read.The authors do a very good job at not only explaining the technology but in providing some perspective on it's use as well. Between this book and Manning's "Spring Into Action" I would take this book.

At my old position, I constantly referenced this book, but fortunately the company owned the book. When I left that job, I purchased my own copy. It's well written and provides enough examples to get you started. This book is a MUST HAVE for my library.

I had never used Spring before reading this book, and this book gave me the knowledge I needed to start. It's very well organized with lots of code examples and a great example project. If you want to know Spring, you need this book.

This non-tutorial tome attempts to be nearly all things to nearly all Spring developers. At first, the syntax and layout seems somewhat clumsy, but the book does have a LOT of useful information and is an excellent study resource. The book is a pretty good balance between breadth of subject matter and depth of coverage. I'm glad I bought it, and have referred to it countless times during my project.POSITIVES0. Code samples are consistently followed by a terse explanatory paragraph; sometimes these are useful, sometimes not.1. Examples are kept fairly simple, digestible, and workable.2. Good coverage on Spring configuration, IoC.3. Authors have edited code for brevity, and omissions are clearly annotated.4. Absolutely zero cutesie jokes, dumb pictures, or silly metaphors!NEGATIVES0. No coverage of Spring Security, which is not even mentioned in the scant index.1. Incomplete index, necessitating much manual digging. This giant book requires a thorough index!2. Occasional slight errors in text, but not a major problem.3. Code listings not consistently identified by caption, but identified at end of preceding paragraph, so the caption becomes a pointless comment. You will get accustomed to it.4. Verbose: oftentimes three awkward sentences could have been written in one clear sentence.5. Difficult to locate the book's source code. I eventually found it by ISBN on the publisher's site.Later, I found an afterthought mention of the book's source code, not in the opening pages as one would expect, but on page 46! Worse, it is under the unlikely heading "Development Tools and Dependency Management." Note to authors: Add a new subtitle on page 3: HOW TO OBTAIN THE BOOK'S SOURCE CODE.NOTE: If using a non-STS (SpringSource Tool Suite) version of Eclipse, you'll need to obtain and install the requisite Spring libs, Maven, and the optional Vmware Tomcat server. This can be a real chore, so you might prefer to install a fresh image of STS.I recommend this book, but your mileage may vary,

This book was ordered in error. It was not clear that this version was in German. We contacted Amazon, who was very helpful in getting the English version to us. We rated this 5 stars because of Amazon’s service, as well as thoroughly enjoying the English version.

Wonderful read. The audible version was read with an authentic accent and was a delightful story and I think would make an excellent movie!

I decided to get this one because it was mentioned on Jimmy Fallon show. It was a fast magical, somewhat unique story with well developed characters. Lots of action happening. Sometimes I had to go back and re-listen to some sections. The accent of the reader took a little time to get used to but, I ultimately liked it and felt it even added to the story. I really can't wait to get the next one.

This was the book that captured my kids interest in reading.

You won't be able to put this one down. Beautiful character development.
