Such a quick, simple read -- but the most powerful message worth spending money on. None of the other "leadership" books matter if you don't have Arnie's philosophy as your rock solid foundation!Arnie not only helps you connect the dots on how to build a foundation for SUSTAINABLE success in your business... he has credibility... building and running very successful businesses... which is what I respect the most! He also teaches you 100% personal accountability... culture follows leadership... how do you own it, and rock it!!Anyone can be a one hit wonder with the right entrepenuratrial spirit... but Arnie's book helps you understand how to KEEP your business growing for years to come. As you are reading... you feel like you are sitting across the table having a face to face conversation. Love, love, love this!Thank you, Arnie... for sharing your passion of happy team = happy customer!
I first heard Arnie on a podcast and immediately ordered this book! It has been a game changer for our business! What I love about the book is that Arnie shares everything his company has tried to build an amazing culture. I immediately thought of ideas for our company and have implemented some of the ideas, including the Better Book Club. Arnie established this book club where companies actually pay their employees to read. It's brilliant and it works! This idea would never have come to fruition if Arnie didn't believe every idea was "Worth Doing Wrong." Arnie is one of the business leaders out there that flat out gets it! You and your company is missing out if you don't pick up a copy or 10! Get it now, put it to play and be open to doing a few things wrong along the way!
Worth Doing Wrong is an excellent book with practical, substantive recommendations for anyone interested in buidling and scaling an organization. Arnie's personal anecdotes are compelling, useful and honest. He doesn't just share lessons learned from his success stories, he also talks about the things he tried that didn't work. There's a lot of wisdom packed into this easy-to-read book. Arnie writes, "The right culture attracts the right people." I was so intrigued by his creative approach to building a rock solid culture, I decided to visit his office while I was on a business trip to Nashville. I was blown away. Arnie walks the talk, and he's written a book that offers tools the rest of us can use to emulate his remarkable success.
Arnie's book if filled with lots of great ideas that can be easily implemented in any business that wants to create a great culture. What I liked most, he actually encourages you to copy his ideas and try them in your business. We found several ideas that have been well received by our team, especially the Better Book Club. We now have almost half our team reading great books and sharing the information with the rest of our team. This book is now one of the volumes available and being read by some of our team as part of the Club. If you want to build a great culture in your business, or as Arnie writes, "a culture that rocks", this is a great way to get started.
As entrepreneurs, creators and all-around high-acheivers, we each want to get things right and succeed, not just for ourselves but for all those around us. Yet anyone who has attempted to do anything big knows that we can't (and don't) get everything right all the time. Through powerful vignettes, Worth Doing Wrong perfectly illustrates the value of getting things wrong on the way to getting them right! Every entrepreneur should have this book in his or her library.
Great title. The ideas are extraordinarily simple and clearly expressed but execution is very very challenging. It's better to just start putting them into practice before you figure out how to do them perfectly. We are just beginning to apply Arnie's culture shaping principles to a high production medical practice and probably doing a lot wrong...but doing a lot more than nothing.
I was inspired by this book! Arnie Malham cares about having a successful business where the people who work for him feel like they are growing their lives. What more could a business leader want? It's worth the time for any leader (or someone who aspires to lead) read.
Not only an easy read, but it confirms many of the mistakes as well as successes that I have had myself as an entrepreneur. It also gave me a multitude of practical ideas to implement!
